As you may be aware, my mother Victoria Aviles, and I proudly own and operate

King Garment Care (Manhattan) and Bridge Cleaners & Tailors (Brooklyn).

We are pleased to announce that we will be combining our two brands into one.

A Brief History

In 1968, Joseph Aviles (Dad) opened a small dry cleaning business is Colts Neck, NJ called Betty Brite. Built on the same principles that stand true to our business today, he would provide his customers with the finest garment care and deliver a world-class experience to each and every one.

Shortly after opening, Victoria, a young Colombian woman, applied for a job. Victoria and Joseph fell in love and got married. While always educating themselves and their staff, they always pushed the boundaries of stain removal, environmental sustainability, and putting the customer first. Together, they envisioned building the leading cleaning and alteration business in New York City.

In 1975, they bought 10 Downing St. Cleaners (today, King Garment Care), and in 1986 they bought Bridge Cleaners. While King is located on King Street in Manhattan, and Bridge originally operated on Bridge Street in Brooklyn - our business has grown beyond the block of our address.

Today, over 50 years since opening our doors, we serve thousands of wonderful New Yorkers, Fashion Boutiques, Corporate Clients, as well as the Film & TV industry. Our pick-up and delivery service now accounts for more than 50% of our business.

The only change is our name.

For us, it will always be about the customer. We assure you that our pricing, the quality of our service and support procedures will remain unchanged for now, and we intend to incorporate the best features of both King & Bridge into our service over time.

You still get to visit our stores and interact with our amazing team members, and expert tailors.

Your drivers will always deliver your beautiful garments back to you quickly and conveniently.
